I cant get out of the "WHAT IF's"

Posted in Group:

Replaying everything from the past, what I could have done better, what my family and friends could have done differently, its killing me. It overwhelms me and keeps me in bed for weeks on end. Regret and angry just swirl around. I miss my family so much i sometimes catch myself talking to them out loud as though they were here.Being alone and in shock everyday. Nightmares of not understanding why I was so weak....I hate the name PTSD. Its a natural response to someone living a real life and happens not to be a socio path and shows no emotional connection.

I was a couple months ago that I was in the same boat. However my best friend made a comment to me that really changed the corse of my recovery. She said to me " when you believe in Jesus you are never alone" and this i do, I do believe in Jesus and I asked him for forgiveness and put my sad issues to him and he took care of me. I today dont feel alone and look to him everyday for advise and guidance. He is always there you just have to ask. Are you involved in a local church or any groups?
