Hypnotherapy?

Posted in Group:

I've had PTSD for almost nine years. I've got it relatively under control. I do not recall the exact trauma that caused it. I suffer from a TBI and was in a coma so there's a whole chunk of time in my life I don't recall at all. I find my anxieties and depression deepen if I try to focus on that time period or truthfully anything either a few months before or even after. I know what I was told about what happened to me but I do not know for myself.

Does anyone have experience using hypnotherapy to help relive and move past past traumas? I don't want to reopen things negatively for myself but I feel as though this all still consumes me and it should not being that it's been nine years and not to mention I don't really have a firm grasp on it all. Thank you for all advice or info.

I'm sure hypnosis therapy could help you overcome PTSD. There's a lot of good info on http://www.hypnosismiracle.com; you should check it out sometime.

I am a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and feel sure that hypnotherapy could help you. Do find a well qualified hypnotherapist in your area. If you live in the UK you could look at the Quest Institute's site on their 'Find a therapist' section. Their therapists are all well trained.
Most hypnotherapists will offer a free introductory session, so find someone you feel confident with and don't hesitate to ask about their level of qualification and experience.

Good luck for the future.
